Hull and the East Riding is a great place to live and work. Nearly every type of industry is represented in the area and specialist clusters have grown up in many areas including Media, IT and Communications alongside the more established Blue Chip companies such as Smith and Nephew and Reckitt Benckiser who have long been associated with the area.
There's is little or no heavy industry in the area and what there is, is highly prized and very specialised including BP's operation at Saltend being amongst the largest producer in the world of acetic acid.
There's a great deal of choice when it comes to living in the area. There's abundant and affordable housing and apartments available both in the city centre and outlying villages.
With a vibrant nightlife, varied restaurants along with a cultural heritage, Hull is still a favourite amongst the young and the old alike. Whilst the outlying villages and towns provide a slightly more sedate but equally attractive place to be.
Often people come to the area just to work and twenty years later after they've enjoyed the undoubted quality of life the area has to offer, they're still here and here to stay!
